KEYNOTE SPEAKER ANNOUNCED
ICIS is the most prestigious gathering of IS academics and research-oriented practitioners in the world. The expected attendance will be 1300+ people. ICIS convenes annually to present scientific papers and to examine the constantly changing field of information systems theory and practice. These meetings present a unique opportunity to exhibit to one of the most influential audiences in the field of information systems.
ICIS 2009 will be held in the warm and sunny climate of southern Arizona at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. In addition to ample local recreational and cultural opportunities, Phoenix is but a few hours’ drive from the Grand Canyon (the “eighth wonder of the world”) and the popular recreation areas of Sedona, Oak Creek, and Flagstaff.
The theme of the conference, “Doing IT Research That Matters,” addresses the need for information systems research to be timely, relevant, and far-reaching in its impacts on individuals, groups, organizations and society.
