ICIS 2009 is proud to announce its two social events that will be held at the conference host hotel - J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort

Opening Reception
Tuesday December 15th, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Grand Assembly.

Help us kick off the ICIS 2009 Conference while meeting and socializing with friends and associates you have not seen in awhile. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and appetizers while experiencing the true Southwest and strolling serenading Mariachi’s throughout the evening.

Celebrate the fantastic cuisine of the Southwest by enjoying adobe chicken quesadillas, Portobello mushroom empanadas, mini burritos, salsa, guacamole, warm black bean dip and chips, and assorted taco bars. Each guest will receive one free alcoholic drink. (Cash bar will also be available).

Social Gala
Thursday December 17th, 6:30 – 9:00 p.m., Grand Saguaro ballroom.

The ultimate Wild West experience. Guests will be entertained by a live country western band and have the opportunity to learn how to do the most famous western dances including Boot Scootin’, Electric Slide, Doesy-Do, Western Swing and line dancing. Country Western instructors will guide and instruct all those who are willing to give it a try.

Travel back in time and become an Outlaw, Lawman, Saloon Girl or Wild Woman of the West! Professional wardrobe and photographic staff will be on hand to work their magic and capture YOU and the Wild West on film. Each participant will given one 4” x 6” sepia-toned photograph in a handsome cardboard frame. This is sure to be a memorable keepsake of the evening!

Enjoy a wonderful smorgasbord of fine Western hospitality to include chili bars, salad bars, mesquite grilled New York Strip and chicken, baked potato bars, cowboy ranch style beans, corn bread and rolls, Dutch oven fruit cobbler, and state fair chocolate dream cake. In addition each guest will receive one free alcoholic drink. (Cash bar will also be available).
