ICIS 2009 Conference hotel room rate is $189 per night.

If you are planning to attend ICIS Phoenix please be aware that the deadline for securing reservations at the conference hotel (J.W. Marriott Dessert Ridge Resort) is November 13th and is based on availability.  As of November 3rd, rooms are still available for those planning to attend ICIS only with check-in on Monday, December 14 or later.  Availability changes daily so book early. 

If you are planning to attend pre-ICIS events only, please note that there is a 4 night minimum stay requirement for those staying over Sunday night (Dec. 13th) and checking out before Tuesday, December 15th.  This requirement is needed to assure adequate availability to those attendees who plan to attend ICIS.  Beginning November 20th those NOT planning to attend ICIS will be allowed to reserve rooms for less than four nights.  Again, this is based on availability. 

At this time the hotel is forecasting to be completely filled on Sunday, December 13th.   Registrants wishing to make reservations at an alternate hotel may do so by contacting one of the properties listed below.

Residence Inn Desert View at Mayo – 480.563.1500 – www.marriott.com - hotel does offer shuttle service to JW Marriott Desert Ridge.  Rate offered at $99 inclusive of breakfast per night plus taxes, based on availability.

FAQ's

Q: Why can I not get a room for less than four nights if I’m only coming for a pre-ICIS meeting? 
A: The hotel has limited availability of rooms on the nights of Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13 due to another group previously booked at that time.  Thus the rooms that AIS has protected for those nights are needed for those registrants who are attending both pre-ICIS events and ICIS itself. 

Q: How long will this restriction be in place? 
A: This restriction will be lifted on November 20th and any rooms still remaining can be reserved for whatever length of stay needed.

Q: If I know for sure that I cannot attend ICIS but I am planning to attend a pre-ICIS meeting and do not yet have a hotel reservation, what should I do. 
A: You have two options:
Option A: if still available, book a reservation at the JW Marriott Dessert Ridge for four nights (arrival Friday, departure Tuesday) 
Option B: book a reservation at one of the hotels listed above.  On November 20th check back with Marriott reservations to see if any rooms became available at the conference hotel.  If so, book your reservation there and cancel your reservation made at the alternate hotel.  If nothing opens up at the Marriott you’ll at least have a place to stay. 

Q: My pre-conference meetings are at the Marriott.  Are the alternate hotels within walking distance of the Marriott? 
A: The nearest alternate hotels are a short taxi ride to the Marriott.  The cost is approximately $15.  There are no public transportation options.  

Q: My pre-ICIS meeting is on Monday and Tuesday. Can I make a reservation for less than 4 nights if I want to check-in on Monday and check-out on Wednesday? 
A: Yes. The 4 night minimum applies only to those who want to stay over Sunday night and check-out on Monday or sooner. (subject to room availability)
