Track Description
This track includes research topics related to the design, development, utilization, and impact of Web-based information systems and applications on electronic commerce and mobile commerce. Issues may include organizational, social, behavioral, cultural, economic, technical, global, and policy making aspects of such systems from diverse perspectives of all involved stakeholders, such as buyers, suppliers, IS developers and designers, end users, and policy makers.
Examples of specific topics include, but are not limited to,
- Behavioral-related issues such as trust, risk, satisfaction, personalization, privacy, and fraud
- Design, adoption, and use of mobile technologies and applications in Web commerce
- Economics of e-commerce, including auction, pricing, and advertising
- Emerging Web-based technologies such as Web services, semantic Web, and their related business strategies and impacts
- E-communities, Web-based knowledge networks, and the digital divide in Web commerce
- Global and cultural issues in developing successful Web-based information systems
- Issues related to the organizational adoption and use of Web-based information systems and e-commerce policies and design
- Online auction marketplaces and their feedback and institutional technologies
- Standards and regulations for Web-based information systems
- Web-based business activities, such as data mining and supply chain systems
- Web-based public institutions, such as e-education, e-government, e-health, e-libraries
- Web-based support and service delivery, such as Web-based decision support systems, infomediaries, intelligent agents, e-entertainment, e-news
