Karin
Dudziak Quinones
completed her undergraduate work in psychology and
physics at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.
She received her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Human
Factors and Human-Computer Interaction from Rice
University in Houston, Texas. Her primary work has
examined search engines and the World Wide Web from
the user’s perspective. Specifically, she
sought to examine the psychological factors related
to judgments of Web page relevance and quality in
a search query context.
Dr. Quiñones is currently a Senior Research
Scientist in the Artificial Intelligence Lab and
Hoffman E-Commerce Lab in the Management Information
Systems department at the Eller College of Management,
University of Arizona. She works on a variety
of systems to make them more usable and also directs
usability studies of these systems.
