Wingyan Chung
is an Assistant Professor in the Information and Decision Sciences Department of The University of Texas at El Paso. He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona. He also received his Bachelor of Business Administration (with honors) and M.S. in Information and Technology Management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests center on the application of information retrieval and text mining techniques to knowledge management, knowledge discovery on the Web, and business intelligence applications. His research work has appeared in Communications of the ACM, IEEE Computer, Decision Support Systems, International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, ACM/IEEE-CS Joint Conference on Digital Libraries, and National Conference for Digital Government Research.
