The oboe is a musical instrument of the woodwind double reed family. The word "oboe" is derived from the French word hautbois, meaning "high wood".

I have been playing the oboe for quite a while. Before I came to the U.S., I studied with Mr. Songshan Zhou, the principle oboist at Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Professor Minghong Sun at Shanghai Conservatory of Music. I was an oboist at Shanghai College Symphony Orchestra at Shanghai Jiaotong University.

I am currently studying with Professor Neil Tatman at the University of Arizona School of Music.
